A sophisticated sojourner favorite, the Hotel Californian in Santa Barbara is a luxury Moroccan themed resort. The tile work throughout the property inside and outside is simply stunning and rooms are well appointed.
The resort is equipped with a rooftop pool offering views of the Pacific and a relaxing posh spa. Located a few steps from the beach, Hotel Californian is in the heart of Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone. The area’s unique collection of shops, cafes, and Urban Trail. The trail is a self guided wine tasting tour made up of 20 boutique style tasting rooms which boasts Santa Barbara’s finest wineries. Not sure you can hit them all in a weekend, but you can give it a try!
Wine flights are also offered at Djinn the art deco lobby bar and there are great trendy eats at Blackbird and Goat Tree. The service was excellent and friendly. I will definitely be back to finish off the Urban Wine Trail!
